David Rumbarger currently serves as President/CEO for the Community Development Foundation (CDF) in Tupelo, Mississippi. CDF is a 75-year-old organization that is consistently recognized as one of the Top 10 economic development organizations in the United States by Site Selection magazine.
David leads a team of chamber, economic development and planning professionals to achieve extraordinary results for the Tupelo and Lee County community. David has been a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) for 35 years and has lead CDF since 2000.
David received his Master of Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and Executive Management Program from Duke University. Originally from Birmingham, David resides in Tupelo with his wife and has two grown children and one grandchild. When not recruiting companies to Lee County, David enjoys the outdoors, old cars and biking.
